Cynthia Ford is an independent country-Americana artist based on California’s Central Coast, known for her raw, emotional storytelling and rock-influenced sound. She formerly led the celebrated Cynthia Ford Band in Los Angeles and is a former member of the well-respected indie-Americana group Stereo Chickens. Cynthia began performing as a teenager and rose to prominence as frontwoman of the Cynthia Ford Band, which became one of LA’s most celebrated country acts—frequently highlighted in the Santa Monica tourist guide and selling out iconic venues across the city.
In early 2022, Cynthia returned to Central Coast and embarked on a new chapter as a solo artist. With a deep repertoire of original songs and covers of popular Americana hits, She eventually signed a deal to record Velvet Hammer, her debut solo album. However, the sudden departure of her producers and the shifting priorities of the label, left her facing an uncertain future.
Rather than letting this setback define her, Cynthia chose to take control of her career. As a solo artist, Cynthia’s journey has been defined by her passion for music .
